Dr. NILTON D. MEDINABoard Certified Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Nilton Medina is a board-certified triple Ivy League educated and trained plastic surgeon. He graduated with honors and Magna cum laude with a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Massachusetts. He subsequently received his medical degree from The Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth in Hanover, New Hampshire, completed his plastic surgery residency at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, and then ultimately a fellowship in microsurgery from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
After completing his fellowship, Dr. Medina completed a successful 12-year academic career as an assistant professor of surgery in the Division of Plastic Surgery at Boston University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. While there, he performed more than 4000 surgeries. He combined his passion for art, science, and medicine to pioneer many of his surgical techniques. He not only sought great natural cosmetic surgical results for his patients but also placed patient safety at the center of his practice.
Dr. Medina brings the same passion he developed to deliver outstanding surgical results in Boston now to Georgia and Florida. His interests include aesthetic surgery of the body and breast, body rejuvenation surgery to include abdominoplasty, liposuction, structural fat grafting to buttocks (Brazilian butt lift), and revision surgeries.
Dr. Medina has multiple scientific literature publications and has presented many of his research findings at numerous national scientific meetings. Various institutions also invited him to lecture and present on more than 40 occasions. He is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery, the New England Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, and the Northeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons. Originally from Cape Verde, Dr. Medina is fluent in Spanish, French, and Portuguese.
